Y had so much fun exploring our winter themed activities, including our winter number puzzles. Like our winter puzzles, these spring puzzles feature beautiful, realistic images portraying spring and spring objects.
I love how Y gets to explore nature as it really is (because we use realistic photos) even though we may not be able to see these things right now outside. I cannot wait to actually watch butterflies and birds, but for now, we are looking forward to using our spring themed materials. Hopefully, Mother Nature catches up soon. I am so over the cold!
Spring activities: number puzzles
Y is 4 years old and really loves puzzles. The child is really already working on adult style puzzles at four years old. I’m really quite amazed at his ability to put together a puzzle so easily.
This style of puzzle as is he can complete rather easily, but I like the review of numbers on the bottom. They’re just so fun and pretty! However, this style of work is also great to do with a younger child that is learning how to count.
Instructions for use
With younger children in mind, I have also included a set of blank number puzzle mats. What you can do is laminate all of the pieces (number puzzles with photo cut into strips). Then also laminate the mat.
Place velcro on the individual puzzle strips and on the mat. Have the child place the puzzle pieces onto the blank mat.
