One of the most amazing trips I have ever been on was to China when I was 17 years old. I am so grateful that I was able to experience the culture and see so many beautiful sights.I went for two weeks with a group of friends, one of whom had family in each city we went to. From the food, to the unique architecture, to the truly breathtaking nature all around us, I will never forget the memories I made while I was there.
And oh my gosh, the history. I don’t know if you have realised it or not, but I’m kind of a bit of a geek. I just love history, and reading, and learning. And that country is just so full of all things history and there is just so much to learn! Everywhere we went, it just felt incredible to know that so much had already happened there!
That trip actually was one of the biggest confirmations for me to pursue a degree in International Relations the next year when I went off to university.
Okay, okay, my background isn’t per se why you are here! Today, I’m really excited to be sharing a new printables set that is all about China, inspired by Chinese new year, approaching! Be sure to scroll down below to learn more about these fun printables and how you can use them to teach your children or students about China!
Beautiful Places in China Cards
Why: Using 3 part cards is great for helping children to understand and master information. For this particular work, the children will get an introduction to Chinese landmarks.
How to use our China Cards
Montessori 3 part cards are a great way for children to learn the material in a fun, hands-on way. The idea is for a child that can read to match the label cards to the image cards. Afterwards, the child checks his or her work by also matching the control cards to the labels and images.
This set comes with an additional information card with simple facts about each location, alongside an image of the location and it’s name. You can have your student or child match these cards, as well, or you can read the information to them as part of a lesson.
