Y and I have been enjoying our weather theme very much! I know we started it quite a while ago. I’ve been slowly working through this unit in combination with a few other types of works. Really, I like this pace as this weather unit is pretty intense for Y. There is so much new and interesting information that it is nice to space it out a bit. Now, he is really studying different types of clouds. We observe the types of clouds we see in the window, too. I suppose this is another advantage to spreading out this theme – we get more time to observe and work that into the unit itself! Of course, we will continue looking at clouds even after we move onto a different theme.
Today, I am sharing how I taught Y the names of different clouds using our 4 part cards!
Montessori Activities: clouds 3 part cards
Why: Using 3 part cards is a great for helping children to understand and master information. For this particular work, the children will get an introduction to clouds.
How to use 3 part cards
Y cannot read yet even though he is working on letter recognition and letter sounds. For children that can read, you can use these as traditional Montessori 3 part cards.
